Hemp bath towel bath sheet quick dry anti-mildew absorbent natural hair wrap camping travel towel 55 percent hemp 45 percent organic cotton
This quick-dry hemp bath towel or bath sheet will be your new favorite towel! This is a different kind of towel. Don't expect a thick, bulky, fluffy towel that takes forever to dry. What you'll get is a thinner, yet thirsty towel that dries you perfectly. When you are dry, hang up the towel and it will dry much faster than your old towel. Hemp is naturally anti-microbial, meaning it will resist mold and mildew. This means you can go longer between washing days. Since the towel has much smaller bulk, it takes up less space in the wash. This means less water and less detergent. Also, faster dry times in the dryer or on the clothesline. Money-saving all around!
If you are traveling or camping, this is the ideal towel to pack! Not only will it dry faster than a regular towel, but it will also take up less space in your luggage.
For long hair, this towel makes the best hair wrap! It's not a thick heavy, bulky bath towel that weighs your head down and is awkward to wrap. This towel is thinner, lighter, and slightly stretchy, making it just perfect to wrap and dry your hair. Try it, you'll love it!
This towel has a textured terry surface on the front and is smooth (like a t-shirt) on the flip side. This is a knit fabric (french terry), so it is slightly stretchy, yet sturdy. Fabric content is 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton.
What's so great about hemp? Industrial fabric was used in historical times. Sailors made ship sails out of hemp because it was sturdy and durable. Betsy Ross used hemp to sew the first American Flag. Levi Strauss used hemp to craft the first pair of jeans. The industrial hemp plant was misunderstood and outlawed during the war on marijuana (no, it's not the same!).
Hemp is environmentally friendly as it needs less water, space, and pesticides than cotton. It also grows faster than cotton. Fabric made from the industrial hemp fiber is stronger and more absorbent than cotton.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
Please note, full absorbency will be reached once your towel has been washed 6-8 times. This is true with all natural plant-based fabrics.
Hemp is a durable fiber. You may wash and dry these the same way you do your cotton towels. I do recommend that you use a detergent without chemical fragrances, dyes, or fabric softeners. You should avoid all fabric softeners (including dryer sheets). These will not ruin your towel, but they will coat the fibers and make them less absorbent (and will pollute the air in your home and neighborhood). Bleach will make the fibers break down and wear out, but a little splash of bleach in your washing machine once a month shouldn't hurt. If your towels or wash cloths start to get stained or get a funky smell that won't wash away, try drying them outside on a line (sunshine is great for battling stains and odors). A few drops of tea tree oil in the wash will also help kill any mildew that gets an upper hand in your towels.
